What is RacingTurtles.com
Welcome to our little corner of the web. We created RacingTurtles.com to communicate with our friends & family, and provide a place where we can share our thoughts, experiences, opinions, and (most importantly) photos.
As a result, you might see multiple updates in the same day, and you might go a couple of weeks without seeing anything new. I personally try to keep things relatively up-to-date, and if there is something big happening, I'll usually post something about it.
Stay tuned, come back occasionally, and we'll try to keep it interesting!
NOTE: There is some confusion over what the logo for an article should do. The logo (the baby turtle, for example) brings up a listing of all the articles in that category. Well, it looks like the site is back up and running, for now. I'm toying with the idea of moving everything over to a new CMS, since Nuke is not part of my hosting providers "supported" installation scripts.

We finally got our first decent snowy day of the winter. Many of you have heard me complain that Santa brought a sled last year (2005) for Christmas, but we hadn't had any snow deep enough to try it out. Saturday morning dawned on a covered lawn and a driveway that needed shovelling.

Our 2007 Vacation to Pennsylvania was a success. We visited Idlewyld Park, Hershey, Sesame Street, and the Pittsburgh Childrens Museum. Even managed to squeeze in a visit with some friends near Philadelphia. Read more for the pictures.

Visit to the Fire Station
|
Jill coordinated a visit to the local fire station for all the youngsters. We got a chance to see a real fireman dressed out in his turnout gear, hear the fire alarm at the station, and hang out in the trucks.
Many thanks to the Plymouth Fire Station for letting us stop by for a few hours. All the kids had a great time and the parents might have even learned something in the process!

This was the first year that Cooper was truly excited for Santa to come to our house. This made for a really exciting lead-up to Xmas, and the big guy really came through for our boy. The holiday was a great time to see our extended family, play with cousins, and just relax a little bit!
